Martin Selected to NCAA’s Starting Five

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore guard Tynice Martin was named to the NCAA's Starting Five for the week of Feb. 15, as released by the organization on Wednesday.

The Atlanta native averaged 32.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game, as WVU went 1-1 last week with a 90-87 double-overtime loss at No. 19/20 Oklahoma and a 79-53 win over Oklahoma State. She was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

In West Virginia’s heartbreaking loss to the Sooners, Martin tallied a career-high 35 points and grabbed five rebounds. She made 14-of-24 from the field (58.
