In an ideal world, the Minnesota Vikings probably would've liked to acquire Mac Jones in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers this offseason to help solve their current quarterback issue.
That was at least the thinking at the conclusion of the 2025 season when a trade for Jones seemed more believable than it has been in the last few weeks.
On Tuesday, the chances of Minnesota acquiring the former first-round pick from the 49ers took another hit when The Athletic's Dianna Russini shared what she has recently heard about what San Francisco wants in return for the 27-year-old quarterback.
