The third and final day of this year’s Major League Baseball Rule IV Draft commences today at 11:00 am central time. Our Milwaukee Brewers begin their day with the 26th pick in the 11th round, #343 overall, and will continue by picking at #26 in each round through the 40th and final of the draft.
These selections typically get little fanfare, but there are is to be one or more contributors that arise from the late rounds of this year’s draft. Lorenzo Cain (rd 17), Brandon Woodruff (rd 11), Zach Davies (rd 26), and Josh Hader (rd 19) are a few examples of Day 3 draft picks who eventually turned into big league players.
