The Portuguese also confirmed that Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot would be absent from the match on the south coast, while Antonio Valencia remains sidelined due to a knee issue.
“Dalot and Fellaini, they are still out,”
the boss told MUTV.
“The only one that went one step behind was Antonio Valencia with some problem in his knee. But Lingard and Alexis, now I can say ‘ready’.”
Lingard appeared as an injury-time substitute during last Sunday's 2-1 win over Everton, but has not played a lengthy role in a match since the Carabao Cup game against Derby County, which he started.
