The development of Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye has reached a stage where he's become one of the more underrated nickel backs in the NFL.
Tall, strong and competitive at 6-foot, 190 pounds, Bouye has shadowed wide receivers effectively all season. He has recorded 12 tackles, a team-high six passes defended and one sack. He's tied for 18th in Pro Football Focus' rankings of the top cornerbacks this season.
"Well, any time you have a corner that can cover, it helps because this league, they throw the ball a little bit in this league," Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel said.
