Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins got an unexpected teacher in ESPN analyst and retired star receiver Randy Moss on Tuesday at practice.
Moss was a guest of Texans head coach Bill O’Brien, who he knows well from his days in New England, where O’Brien was the quarterbacks coach for almost four years.
Though Moss was in town to talk to the whole receiving group, he spent a lot of time working with Hopkins, including some one-on-one time at the beginning of practice when Moss was animatedly giving pointers to the young receiver.
“Obviously the talent speaks for itself, but one of the things that always impressed me about him was his knowledge, his knowledge of coverages, his knowledge of different DBs,” O’Brien said of Moss.
