Lamar Miller adapting well to Texans' system

Texans starting running back Lamar Miller avoided a potential injury Saturday morning, emerging unscathed when he appeared to tweak his ankle.

Miller got checked out by trainers, retaped and finished the practice without incident.

"Yeah, it's good," Miller said afterward. "It's fine."

When asked about Miller's status, Texans coach Bill O'Brien also downplayed any talk of an injury.

"No, I don't think so," O'Brien said. "I think he's fine."

Signed to a four-year, $26 million contract during free agent, Miller is a former Miami Dolphins starter acquired as the replacement for former Pro Bowl runner Arian Foster.
