1) Rookie running back Tyler Ervin continued to impress his teammates and coaches with another exceptional practice. Ervin, the fourth-round pick from San Jose State, excelled Saturday at running back, wide receiver and returner. The coaches say he's smart, so he's a fast learner. Ervin follows blocks well. He's fast, quick, instinctive, tough and has excellent hands. When he gets the ball, he's off in a flash. He's also become a fan favorite because he likes to take the ball the distance when he's in the open field.
2) Inside linebacker is going to be a strength on defense.
