The Indianapolis Colts ruled out veteran tight end Dwayne Allen due to an ankle injury.
Allen was originally regarded as questionable to return Sunday night against the Texans.
However, it was determined that the starting tight end's injury was serious enough that he couldn't go back into the game.
Allen had a large ice pack taped to his ankle on the bench after having his cleat and tape removed.
With Allen sidelined, Colts tight end Jack Doyle caught a touchdown pass in the second quarter.
